Memory Storage Devices

Are devices used to store data and instruction in the computer system. These are HDD, FDD and ROM. They are divided mainly into two types namely;

1. Internal Primary Memory
2. External Secondary Memory

DATA

Are unprocessed facts or figures providing description of people places or things that may not have a clear meaning to us depending on there context.

EXAMPLE: Halima’s, age, 20, is, girl, a

Information is derived from data.

IMPORTANCE OF INFORMATION

-It helps to be aware of dangers

-Social interactions

-It helps to make a decision

-It helps to solve problems

-It helps give us knowledge on particular issues

INFORMATION DISSEMINATION

Is the way of spreading and distributing information from one place to another.
